So let me tell y'all a little bit about good 'ole Independence Missouri. Two things you should know, There is a police siren every hour, usually two. And I mean like every hour like.... 2:00 a.m and so forth. -_- next to those are my good friends trains. If there isn't a horn blaring, there is a train blowing for five minutes. And yes, most of these occurrences are at night. :)
OK now let me tell you about my ward. Independence 4th (literally. The most golden ward I have ever met, sorry Maeser 7th you can come in second though ;)) So Inde 4th ward members are either sickly and frail or they are converts from the RLDS church..... hahaha it's great! We have two investigators at the moment and they fall into the sickly and frail category. Young and old everyone in Missouri has some kind of sickness or ailment and it's really really weird. I'm wondering if there is something in the water here.... hahaha But they are all the sweetest and I love them!
Also in my second lesson ever I committed our investigator {R}
to be baptized!!! So I guess you could say I'm pro now....... haha. It wasn't really me, it was Sister Bench and God working with her the past couple of weeks, but hey. I said the words. But she would have been baptized with or without my help. :) She is amazing and sees the beautiful difference in this church and it's priesthood compared to other churches. Oh my goodness there are just so many people that I have met this week that I absolutely love with all my heart and I can't imagine life without knowing them!
It's crazy to think that Joseph Smith received revelation that this little town will be the center place, Zion! But seriously I have learned so much from history of the church to moving forward with faith instead of fear! My companion is the sweetest human being and the funniest at that! Also she is probably the best missionary in the mission. I have only been with her a week and I have witnessed crazy amazing miracles that all happen because of her!! And those miracles are being baptized and I'm sure there are more coming! I hope to be as valiant and obedient as her :)
I love this gospel and I love this city! Thank you all for reading my emails! I know they're long haha but just so much happens in a week and I want to share it all!!!! Love you all till next time!
